Evan Moffic

Rabbi Moffic is the Rabbi of Makom Solel Lakeside Congregation in Highland Park, Illinois. He is dedicated to interfaith outreach, social justice, and inspiring a modern relevant spirituality for today’s world.

While leading worship, officiating at hundreds of weddings and bnei mitzvah, and serving a large and diverse congregation, Evan loves to write and work with others to explore what practices help us feel a greater sense of satisfaction, meaning and purpose in our lives. He has spoken on spirituality and happiness and interfaith dialogue at over 100 churches, synagogues, conferences and organizations. 

A graduate of Stanford University, he is the author of four books, including the best-sellers The Happiness Prayer: Ancient Jewish Wisdom for the Best Way to Live Today, and the What Every Christian Needs to Know about the Jewishness of Jesus.
